With the aim of providing an answer to the increasing need for consumer-friendly packaging, Safta has recently developed an innovative technology. The traditional notch has been combined with easy and linear opening of pouches.
The "easy-tear" system consists of a longitudinal incision line applied to one layer of the laminate. It is an alternative to laser scoring and facilitates precise linear tear opening of packs in a pre-established area of the pack, selected at the packaging design stage.
This system features high flexibility, as it can be applied to one of the intermediate films that make up the most commonly used multilayer laminates without damaging barrier properties. It offers a great number of advantages too, such as easy opening, controlled linear tearing, user-friendly pouch shape after opening, improved pouring and dosing and better recloseability with the zip.
